18th Century Brass Mounted and Lacquered  “Marriage” Dowry Box. Exquisite Indian craftsmanship made of teak with decorative brass on a patinated red lacquered surface with intricate pen work. Made during the latter part of the Mughal Empire, made in Kerala India , circa 1780.
