19th Century Neoclassical Green Painted Italian Cabinet

A beautifully preserved example of early 19th-century Italian craftsmanship, this neoclassical painted cabinet was made in Tuscany circa 1820. The piece retains its original hand-painted polychrome decoration in soft green, terracotta, and black tones with neoclassical motifs including floral swags, lyres, and urns. The cabinet’s trapezoidal shape is emphasized by molded edges and carved feet, each leg turned and tapering in a stylized classical form.

The faux marble-painted top adds visual richness, enhancing the cabinet’s refined yet rustic character. The two doors open to a single spacious compartment, offering practical storage for textiles, linens, or household essentials.

This charming Tuscan piece is a rare survivor with its original surface and decorative artistry intact, making it both a functional storage solution and a standout decorative object.
